The Science and Industry Commissions of the Cortes de Aragón visit the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre and Galactica
The main objective of the visit is to know the research carried out by CEFCA from the OAJ and the work that is underway for the opening of the Dissemination Center in Arcos de las Salinas
The Commission for Science, University and Knowledge Society, and the Commission for Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development of the Cortes de Aragón, have visited the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre, accompanied by the responsable for Science, University and Knowledge Society, Maru Díaz, and the scientific staff of the Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón.
The objective of the visit has been to learn, from the hand of the director of the CEFCA, Javier Cenarro, and the head of the Observatory, Antonio Marín, the projects that are developed in the Singular Technical Scientific Infrastructure located in the Pico del Buitre, in Teruel. In addition, they have had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the astronomical instrumentation available at the facility and learn how the daily work of the Observatory staff is carried out.
To finish, they have also toured Galactica, Center for the Dissemination and Practice of Astronomy, facilities where the necessary tasks to implement its musealization in order to open part of its facilities to the public next summer are being carried out.
