I am an astronomer currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at CEFCA in Teruel, Spain, affiliated with the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre (OAJ) dedicated to the J-PAS and J-PLUS surveys.
My main research interests lie in the estimation of so-called photometric redshifts (photo-zs). In contrast to spectroscopy, where the redshift of an astronomical object can be determined precisely from the lines in the spectrum, redshifts derived from photometric data have to be estimated using statistical means or machine learning. Information on photo-zs are of great importance in many areas of cosmology as well as for galaxy evolution.
On this website I publish model spectral energy distributions (SEDs) I generated for luminous red galaxies to improve photo-zs with template fitting codes. Additionally you can download the photo-z catalogs published in Greisel+13 and Greisel+15, as well as for the whole SDSS LRG sample.
