Teaching materials and resources
This section contains access to educational materials and resources developed by CEFCA on solar eclipses.
SOLAR ECLIPSES EDUCATIONAL GUIDE
Educational guide in fold-out format on solar eclipses, aimed at primary school pupils (aged 6 to 12). Simple illustrations and drawings convey the basic knowledge needed to understand what a solar eclipse is, the main types of solar eclipses, why they occur and what can be seen during a solar eclipse. It also includes specific information on the dates and times when the trio of eclipses will occur in Spain and how to observe them safely.
The resource encourages understanding through the use of concepts and comparisons, promoting curiosity and critical thinking in children. It is designed to be coloured in and annotated, so that children can make it their own. In this way, it aims to be a resource to return to in order to remember how to observe safely or the basic elements to discover during an eclipse.
The material offers teachers a useful teaching resource for use in the classroom, but it can also be used by the general public as a source of basic reference information
This project has been developed in collaboration with Teruel City Council and Helios Teruel.
