Infrastructure
This section provides a general overview of the infrastructure serving the Observatorio de Javalambre (OAJ).
Both the Civil Work and the General Facilities are considered. The Civil Work page provides a general overview of the OAJ site while the General Facilities page contains a description of the Observatory's resources and capabilities.
The Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre is a new observatory located at a new astronomical site at the Sierra de Javalambre, Teruel, Spain. Roughly, the OAJ is composed of two buildings for the JST250 and JAST80 telescopes, a residence, a control building, a general services plant, a monitor building and an aluminizing plant.
The main facilities of the OAJ includes, among others, the low voltage power generators, the water-glycol cooling system, the compressed air system, the voice and data network, the climate control system and the penetration and access control system.
