For the end of the summer, the Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón (CEFCA) has planned a new edition of the school of astronomy and astrophysics that has been conducted for the last five years. This activity is part of the XXXI Edition of the Universidad de Verano de Teruel and it will take place from 10 to 12 September in Teruel.

This school includes both lectures and practical activities and aims to bring Astronomy and Astrophysics to all those with an interest in these sciences in an entertaining and informative way. The school is led by professionals and includes a guided visit at the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre (OAJ).

In this new edition, the school will focus on Cosmology. The sessions will start with an introduction to the basic principles of Cosmology. Then, the school will address the big questions about the formation of the Universe, the existing theories, the new discoveries and the current research trends on modern Cosmology. In addition, participants will learn about the methods to observe the sky and they will have the opportunity to take part in practical observations with telescopes.

This school, which is organized by CEFCA, is conducted together with the Agrupación Astronómica de Teruel (ACTUEL) and involves researchers and professors of different universities such as the Universidad de Valencia or the Universidad de Granada.
