Talk "How do we explore our Universe's past?"
CEFCA, in collaboration with Fundación Caja Inmaculada de Teruel, announces an outreach conference for next Monday 3rd of September. The title is "How do we explore our Universe's past?". The event will start at 8pm in the Salón de Actos CAI de Teruel, and the talk (in Spanish) will be given by Dr. Violeta Gonzalez Perez, postdoctoral researcher from the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation University of Portsmouth, UK.
This activity is open to everybody. The talk will explore the scientific concepts that allow us to understand the formation history of structures like our Galaxy by using the light that we receive from celestial objects. Dr. Gonzalez-Perez will also explain what Emission-Line Galaxies are, and why these will be debated about during the international Workshop that CEFCA is organising that week. In particular, she'll focus on what is her role in advancing our understanding of these galaxies, considered as 'Cosmic lighthouses'.
